Update - June 30th 2022

Posted by DeskFable - June 30th, 2022

Hi everyone, apologies for my dormancy over the past few months and leaving you in the dark, just wanted to drop a little update to let you all know that I'm still here and working on stuff🙂

I've got a new project on the way, and although it's another short film it's going to be the largest project I've worked on yet. There are a lot of characters, and a lot of general planning has gone and will go into it. I've spent the past year practicing and researching in the various technical areas of film, whilst also practicing and improving on my animation skills.

Over the past month I've been sculpting the finalised designs for my characters, and undergone some animation tests with them, and all seems to be going very well at the moment👍

Over the next month I will be finalising the model making and gathering all of the equipment I'll need to get stared, and I'm planning to begin animating/shooting later on this summer.

I don't like to give too much info away on my projects until I've begun shooting, but as this film will take a long time to complete, I'll try and update as much as I can whilst I'm working on it. I'l post some pictures of the characters/production once I've begun shooting the actual thing.

Anywho, whilst I'm still being a little cyptic/secretive about the film in question, I just wanted to let you know that I'm still here and working on things, I've just taken some time to research and plan before I undertake this project.

Thanks once again for everyone's kind words and support over the past two years with the different animations I've posted here, it really means a lot!

Cheers and look forward to sharing more soon,

-Jack P.

I, at the very least, understand/assume that stop-motion animation is perhaps the most time-consuming form of animation of all, so no need to hurry! Thanks for the update, though!
