Hi all, just wanted to give those of you following a little update to let you know I'm still active. Apologies for not posting anything since November, I was planning to post some more Clash of the Clay & Klay Kong concept art when I came home from Uni for Christmas. Apologies as admittedly it's just kept slipping my mind, I'll post them as soon as I've posted this for anyone interested, just some little doodles and sketches.
I can assure you that I am working on another Deskfellows film, I've spent the past month developing ideas, characters, narrative, but right now I've very nearly completed the storyboard. I've also ordered a box full of of plasticine for all of the models, although I'll probably wind up ordering more in anyway! The film is currently titled A Grand Day for Fishing, although I might change the title down the line. I won't spoil too much, but it does feature the return of Clay Man and Kong from my first film Klay Kong.
I'll aim to begin sculpting the models and animating as soon as I move back to my accommodation as I should have all the props I need. At the moment I'm a bit backed up with Uni work, lockdown has made studying a little tricky for me (plus I've mainly been focusing on A Grand Day for Fishing) so I've got a bit of catching up to do, but since this is my first year it's all beginner's stuff, really not much of a hindrance. However I won't bore any of you with the details, since I don't want this to devolve into an "oh woe is me" sort of post!
Anywho, I just wanted to let any of you interested know that I am still very active, and I have got another film on the way for you, and animation should start within this month.
(Also I finally found I nice little name to settle on for now, "headstove" sounded a little grim for the type of things I'm currently making!)
Cheers guys, and hope you all had a nice Christmas & New Years.
